About Us

The Australian Training Academy is a registered training organisation (RTO) National Provider Number 0686 and has been training students since 1986. Our courses are affordable with achievable results.

We pride ourselves on providing quality underpinning knowledge, this is achieved by using role-plays, case studies, scenarios and outdoor practice.

Our instructors have been in the security industry for many years and have a back ground from the police, fire service, cash-in transit, private investigations and casino surveillance. Our class room sessions are vibrant and interactive with real case scenarios.

We deliver our lessons by flexible learning with two days in the classroom, (for the security course and one day for the First Aid), before completion. In order to assist our students, we offer free tuition classes run on a week day evening and a Saturday. We encourage our students to take advantage of these sessions. We also offer one to one sessions with an instructor on appointment if required.

Our aim is to give our students as much support as is needed to help them with their studies so on completion you are confident and ready to enter the workforce as a competent, efficient professional Security Guard/Crowd Controller/Monitor Room Operator or a Private Investigator.

Over recent years the security industry has experienced exceptional growth and offers good employment opportunities. On completion of our courses, our candidates will be qualified to enter their chosen stream within the security industry and the Australian Training Academy will give them what assistance we can to find them employment. We however, cannot guarantee employment.
